Mr Raja successfully represented his client in a claim bought for damages against a hair salon.

It was alleged that the hairdresser’s salon failed in exercising reasonable care, in breach of their duty, when carrying out the recolouring of the clients hair. The breach had left the Claimant with 100% damaged hair, to her scalp and psychiatric injury. Thankfully none of these injuries were opined to be permanent.

Damages were assessed by the honourable judge to be in excess of £12,500.

Mr Raja continues to be instructed by many solicitor firms that are dealing with complex matters as he prepares thoroughly and presents with great skill and composure.


Mr Ahtiq Raja represented his client before the High Court in Judicial Review proceedings. “Mr Raja was extremely articulate and I am glad that I had the services of such a skilled barrister” – client.


After robust and articulate submissions by Mr A Raja, the District Judge was convinced that the Claimant had failed to prove period so awarded Nil for the claim. In addition, Mr Raja was successful in claiming unreasonable costs for the Defendant.

In multiple matters Mr Raja has been successful in securing full awards for credit hire despite there being BHR available to the court. His knowledge and preparation lead to many solicitors affirming that he remains their barrister of choice.


Mr Ahtiq Raja had been selected to be part of a defence legal team that were engaged in defending allegations of Murder. The Defendant was the only one among others to have been acquitted and this involved a carefully presentation of the evidence and preparation. This matter was heard before the Old Bailey.

The Defendant was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter. 


Mr Ahtiq Raja successfully ensures that the decision of revocation by a public body is revisited and the driver is returned his badge. Costs were successfully obtained. 

Mr Raja appeared for the Appellant and was successful in ensuring that TFL’s decision of immediate revocation was overturned and costs were awarded in favour of the Appellant. 


Ahtiq Raja as appointed counsel successfully brings a claim against London Borough of Islington for breach of their duties.
